Welcome to the Malazan Art Guild!This isn't our real name, actually we're called
The Secret Guild of Crow Clan Artists, but since it's a very long name and difficult to associate with MBotF in general, we decided to keep it as an extra name. ^^
What this name stands for will be explained below, just as the name of Gumble, our beloved critic, will be.
We started this group so that people who are fans of the series of fantasy novels by Steven Erikson, called "The Malazan Book of the Fallen" (MBotF), can place their work here. By spreading the "WORD" here, we hope that there will be more people who read the novels and make us some fanart because the lack thereof is infuriating (well, maybe not infuriating, but very sadenning
).
The Malazan Empire novels tell us about the rise and the fall of the widespread Malazan Empire. It is placed in a fantasy setting. The stories are pretty complicated and the characters are many, but we truly love them.
This may sound pretty standard, but the stories are more about the characters, who are often very confused about there own positions, than about the Malazan Empire. This is not some dull military fantasy story with one battle after an other and no real story, although there are some pretty gruesome battles.
But you should just read it yourself. ^^
Anyways, about the name, the Crow Clan is a clan of Wickan warriors that help out the 2nd Army because the leader of that army, Coltaine, is also the leader of the Crow Clan. The Crow Clan rocks. They kind of got squished too, so this is an homage to them!
As for Gumble, he's a frog.
He can talk. He critiques this crazy artist's paintings. The artist is crazy because he licks his brushes which sort of messes up his mind. Trippy. Yay for Gumble who explains stuff to us.

Second, a member must put us on their friendslist. That makes it more easy to contact people.

Favourites Abuse
Groups may not have work from their members in their favourites. They are allowed to have work of non-members in their favourites, however, we discourage them from doing so, because those deviants might become members of the club at a later time, in which case the club would have to remember to remove their work from its Favorites listing.
